Villas Paraiso del Mar is a beachfront hotel located on Holbox Island, just a few blocks away from the dock. Holbox is a beautiful island ideal to enjoy solitude and make contact with nature. There is a wide variety of sea life and birds in the surroundings. If you visit the island between June and September, whale sharks approach the area and you can book a tour to swim with them. Cancun International Airport (CUN) is 160 kilometers (100 mi) away; from the village of Chiquila you have to take a ferry to Holbox Island.

Villas Paraiso del Mar offers 58 guest rooms equipped with air conditioning, in-room safe, hairdryer, telephone, cable TV, private bathroom with shower, and some rooms even come with a balcony or terrace (subject to availability). The 2-story master suites also have a sitting area and Jacuzzi.

Note: THERE ARE NO BANKS OR ATMs ON HOLBOX, but you will need pesos for purchases made on the island. Most small businesses do not accept credit cards. So stop at the currency exchange in the airport before setting out for Holbox!
