Description
Enjoy a fabulous encounter with sea lions
Ideal for: Families, Adults.
Are you familiar with sea lions? In their natural habitat, they live in the Southern Hemisphere and North Pacific and are usually found in groups near the coast. They are very sociable and differ from their relatives, the seals, in that they have a thin coat of short, coarse hair rather than soft, thick fur. They are smart, more affectionate than dolphins and they will even hug you with their flippers!
Not many people have the opportunity to see sea lions in their natural habitat, that is why the Sea Lion Encounter is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to enjoy time with these animals. This program starts with an introduction to the sea lions' physiology, feeding habits and behaviors. Then the real fun begins! You will get into the especially designed pools and spend time with these flirtatious animals. You will have a blast watching their funny faces, jumps and, if you are lucky, you will receive a very special kiss from them.
Vallarta Adventures is a young company that provides a full range of tours that allow you to explore and learn about the natural beauties, biodiversity and wild life in Puerto Vallarta. Vallarta Adventures has a dolphin center with two areas featuring large saltwater pools. The sea lions live at the Dolphin Center #1, come from Uruguay, in South America, and have their own special pool with cave, waterfall and platform that allow participants to stand in the water with them.
